Is Modscaper really free to try?
Yes. Your first 3 designs need no account and no card. A free account adds 5 more, then tops back up to 3 every 4 weeks — still no card. Free designs carry a small watermark, and custom requests and tweaks work on the free plan too.
Will it still look like my car?
It's designed to: your photo is the starting point, and every design is told to keep the same car, the same angle and the same background and to change only the mod you picked. It works best on cars today. AI isn't perfect: small lettering like badges, window stickers and signs can come out redrawn, and now and then something else changes, so check a design before you show it to anyone. If a new design in your account changes your car, tap “This isn't my car” within 24 hours — we run it again with an extra instruction to keep your exact car, and the first design goes back to your balance (once per design, up to 5 times a month). A design that fails never counts against your balance.
Can I pick the wheel size, rim color or paint color?
Yes, in your account. Go 1, 2 or 3 inches bigger on the wheels, pick a rim color, and choose a body color with a gloss, satin or matte finish — or leave any of them to the style. Each is an approximate look, not an exact size or film color, so confirm size, fitment and finish with your shop. Then tweak the result in plain words, like “make the wheels bronze”. Lifts, drops and specific tint percentages aren't offered: the AI doesn't draw them reliably yet.
Is the render exactly what the finished mod will look like?
No — it's a concept. Real wrap films, tint shades and wheel sizes and offsets vary from car to car, so use the design to pick a direction, then confirm the parts and finish with the shop doing the work.
Is this mod legal where I live?
We can't tell you. Rules for window tint, lighting and exhaust vary by state and country. Check your local laws and ask a qualified shop before you buy or install anything.
What happens to my photos?
To make a design, your photo is sent to Google's AI, only after you allow it. We don't sell your data, and your photos aren't used to train AI models. The free demo saves no photos or designs; with an account, your designs are stored privately until you delete them — one at a time from your history, or all at once with your account. When you share a link or download a design, we blur license plates we can find.
I run a shop. What does the Shop plan add?
$29/mo for 250 designs a month, your shop name on every design you share, and customer links that show only your shop name — where customers can request a quote right from the link. The launch price is locked for the first 100 shops. You can try the Shop features for 14 days from a free account first: no card, and it ends by itself. Can I cancel any time?
Yes. On the web, cancel online in a few clicks from your billing portal — no calls; if you subscribed in the iPhone app, cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Design packs are one-time and never expire.
